I just wanted to write you a quick note and thank you for the wonderful article you wrote and posted this evening about my sweet mother-in-law. As we were eating a late dinner this evening Jerry mentioned that an article was going to be posted on-line tonight. Not more than a few minutes past by, and it posted. As I opened it up and read aloud to Jerry and my husband, Jason (son #1), we were all so touched by your words. Tears filled my eyes as memories came flooding back of familiar quotes that Kathy said or stories that were mentioned. Thank you for writing about her so eloquently. I felt her voice through your words. She was such a talented writer who loved her job at The Bee; as we all benefited through her stories about life in our family through 'The Family Tree'. Her stories are now our memories and we are blessed by your final chapter in her behalf. She was an amazing women and you nailed it! She would be proud.
We hope you, can join us for the service to celebrate her life with us.
"A child is a parents report card" I thought of this as I listened to Kathy's sons share the memories of Kathy with us yesterday. While their words were different, there was a common theme, the respect for the firm and steady hand of their "sweet mother" in making each of them the man they have become. Kathy's final grade is A+
